A stunning antique vintage hankie has been transformed into this handbag or purse.
Bouquets of pointsetta's and holly leaves with white holly berries are scattered throughout in brilliant colors of red and green on a white background. The largest bouguet on the front right has a white ribbon tied around it. The edges are scalloped and finished in a red embroidery. Simply stunning!
This is fully lined with a red ribbon drawstring top, tied in a bow in front. This purse has double red satin ribbon straps that have been adorned with a delicate tiny white lace with pearls running through the center. This bag still has the original tag on its left corner.
Simply a delightful creation for some little girl for the holidays! A keepsake for sure!
This would even make a wonderful gift for Mother's and grandmothers. Back in the day women used little bags like this to store their favorite jewerly in. They also utilize dainty bags for delicate lingerie or intimates, when traveling. Some even used this type of bag for storing their letters for safe keeping.
