This adorable onesie and vintage Christmas hanky pinafore is not only holiday hip, its smacked full of vintage charm, lots of sweetness, and it's a unique one of a kind creation.
We've taken a plain soft cotton ribbed onesie, one gorgeous vintage Christmas hankie, a bit of handy-work, a dash of beautiful ribbons, sprinkled in some time, patience, love, and imagination, and voila! For the finishing touch, just add baby!
Starting with the onesie we have hand embroidered tiny sprigs of holly along the neckline and each sleeve center and added a dainty little red double sided satin bow for embellishment which is removable.
The cute little apron pinafore consists of a wide red gross grain ribbon waistline dotted with white decorative stitches along the edges. A stunning never used vintage Christmas hankie with poinsettias, sprigs of holly, and ribbon garlands displaying several old fashion style ornaments forms the apron. The lovely scalloped edges further enhance its charm. Satin lacy ribbons matching the bow form the shoulder straps that criss cross in the back and laces through 6 button holes then ties in a bow forming a corset look. This allows the pinafore apron to adjust to baby's width around the waist and allows adjusting the length. This would also be darling worn over a white peasant style dress. For Christmas this year, this can be worn with or without the pinafore and still be holiday sweet. Add a pair of red or white tights for an adorable look, or our white vintage chenille pantaloons would look stunning with this set too. (Pantaloons sold separately).
