So full of vintage charm, this precious baby romper was created from a vintage Bates chenille bedspread, and inspired from an old vintage romper pattern. There is so much detail in this little treasure, so to begin.
This starts with a gorgous soft hobnail or candlewick (as some call) vintage chenille in a precious soft pink. The collar and sleeves are trimmed with a dainty white lace. The shoulder of the sleeves are gathered slightly with the ends of the sleeves on the top half only, gathered up with elastic. The sides of the high waist line have elastic gathering along with the bottom of the legs, again along the side half of each leg. (see pics). The crotch is closed with snaps while the front opening closes with easy velcro snaps and embellished down the front with sweet ribbon roses. The right front leg has been embellished with pretty ribbon flowers with their stems and leaves made from two shades of green ribbons. A bunny applique cut from another vintage chenille sits at the base of the flowers with an embroidered little pink nose and black for the eye, pom pom bunny tail, and a flower applique at its neck. The pictures just don't capture how stunning this little romper is. The sweetest Vintage inspired outfit, sure to be just absolutely adorable on your little baby girl. This would be perfect for the Easter holiday.
The construction of this outfit has had the same attention. Every seam has been reinforced to prevent splitting or fraying. Hems have been hand finished on their edges. This is sure to last for a very long time. Click on each of the photos for a closer view.
